The First Theoretical Round of the Olympiad is Completed was the Theoretical Round

The first theoretical round of the 46th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad was held in the hall “Saryarka” of Hotel “Duman”. Official time of the first round was 9:00-14:00.
Students took their seats predetermined so that the students from one country team were not located next to each other.
Participants started solving eight problems each having several subtasks. Team leaders experienced excitement and agitation waiting for their children. When students leave the auditorium, there were immediately provided the answers so that to compare their results and verify the correctness of their solutions.
The first participant to break this barrier was schoolboy from Kyrgyzstan Nurak Zholdombekov. “I don’t trouble at all! I think I coped well with all tasks. The most difficult for me were the organic chemistry questions, but I managed to solve the inorganic chemistry questions quickly. There is little hope for victory” - he said. (PHOTO)
Danial Muminov from Kazakhstan said that the problems were well thought out and some of them were difficult for him. “I think my main competitors - the guys from Russia and Belarus, as the representatives of these countries often lead various Chemical Olympiads” - Danial shared with us. (PHOTO)
Sanjar Yuldashev from Uzbekistan is happy: “I think, I solved the problems quite well and wait for positive results”. (PHOTO)
